About the Earth Day Dinner with Wendell Berry

Hermitage Farm is honored to host writer, farmer, and native Kentuckian Wendell Berry as the guest of honor at our Earth Day event. Berry has published works of poetry, fiction, and essays, and has devoted his life to small farmers and their communities.  Berry is a widely respected voice for an economy and culture that will support good land use in Kentucky and beyond.

We look forward to hearing him read a selection of his work and speak on the importance of agriculture to our society. In addition to this reading, the event will include a cocktail hour, dinner catered by Barn8 Restaurant, and a book signing with both Berry and his wife, Tanya, whose book of photography depicts Kentucky farmers at work. Join us April 22nd to reflect on the key role nature and agriculture plays in our community, as guided by Wendell Berry.
