Experience: Here’s how it unfolds: Executive Chef Seth Kinder will craft a meticulously curated three-course meal. Each sommelier will select a sparkling wine they believe best complements each dish. And here’s where you come in: after each course, you, the guests, will taste and cast your vote for the sparkling wine that harmonizes best with the flavors and finesse of the dish.

When dessert arrives, we’ll tally up all the votes to crown the undisputed full-bodied champion of the evening! About John Grisanti: John Grisanti, son of local restaurateur Michael Grisanti, is a passionate epicurean with deep roots in hospitality. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, John’s journey has taken him through Napa Valley’s wine and hospitality industry and the Michelin-starred Breslin in New York City. Returning home to contribute to the local community, he has earned numerous beverage certifications, including Certified Sommelier, WSET III, Champagne Master, Certified Specialist of Wine, Certified Specialist of Spirits, and Certified Cicerone. His expertise promises an unforgettable evening.

About Randi Densford: Randi Densford, the reigning champion of Hermitage Farm’s Som Smash, is also the Beverage Director at Barn8 Restaurant. Battling on her home turf, Randi’s refined palate and sparkling expertise have earned her the title, making her the sommelier to beat. With her impressive credentials and previous victory, Randi is ready to defend her title and showcase her mastery in this sparkling showdown.
